Bekah Ferguson (formerly Rebecca Smith), grew up in Ontario, Canada, in the wilds of Muskoka. With a love of nature, romance and clever mysteries, she's been reading novels for as long as she can remember. At the age of sixteen, she began her first attempt at writing a novel but still had much to learn. After five years of practice and studying the art of writing, she started a new project in 2003, and completed The Starfish in early 2006, followed by Weeping Willow, released in the same year.
Bekah's all-time favorite author is the late Grace Livingston Hill, and she has a collection of nearly 50 of Grace's turn-of-the-century Christian romance novels. One of the most poignant, life-changing books Bekah has ever read, is Janette Oke's The Bluebird and the Sparrow. Over the past decade, Bekah has made it her goal to always be the bluebird and never the sparrow.
Her passion is to write Christian fiction that not only entertains but also inspires people to live for Christ. She wants her books to mean something more than mere Hollywood.
